Mission Statement
The mission of Anasazi Elementary School is to create a positive, caring environment where students rise to a high level of academic achievement while developing leadership qualities, responsibility, honesty, self-worth, creativity, critical thinking skills and a true joy of learning.
Beliefs
Everyone can learn and be successful. Each student is entitled to a foundation in essential skills, concepts, processes, and integrated approaches that relate to the real world. High expectations and hard work are essential to quality performance. Education and the joy of learning are the shared responsibilities of the student, home, school, and community. Continuous improvement and willingness to change are essential. Education is a vital investment in the future of our community.

The following are needed to enroll a student at Anasazi Elementary School
- Birth certificate
- Immunization record
- Proof of residence
Lunch Program
The Scottsdale District publishes a monthly lunch menu that is sent home. Students may purchase a complete lunch or just a side such as milk or juice. Students may also bring lunch from home. Full lunches are $ 2.00. Milk is $.35 and juice is $.50. It is recommended that students pre-pay to their lunch debit account however cash is accepted. These lunch cards can be purchased daily before school starts in the cafeteria. You will be notified when your student’s is out of money. Free and reduced lunches are available for qualifying families. Questions may be directed to Ms. Kathy Wilson, Anasazi Food Services Director at 480- 484-7305. When sending lunch money to school don’t forget to put the cash or check in an envelope with your child’s name, classroom name and “lunch money” on the envelope. Lunch money may be dropped off at the school office or at the Anasazi food services office in the cafeteria.

Newsletter
A weekly newsletter, The Scorpion News, is sent home each week via email and, if requested, on Friday’s in hard copy in the Friday folder. A hard copy may be requested through the school office. The newsletter contains a week at a glance calendar, school wide information and information from the PTO. Contact the office staff if you wish to have an article published. The PTO produces a weekly newsletter and also provides it through email. It also is available through the office in paper form if requested.
Visitors to Our School
Parents and scheduled volunteers are always welcome to visit our classrooms. Please sign in at the front office and wear a visitor or volunteer name tag any time you are on campus. Other adult visitors must make arrangements with the front office to visit our campus. Student visitors are not permitted.
